Loren Trimble – Senior Advisor & Board Member
Loren Trimble serves as Senior Advisor and Board Member to AArete following his tenure as its Founder and CEO from 2008 to 2026. In his role, Loren takes a focused approach to providing client value, advising on company strategy, and sustaining AArete’s culture of care.
Trimble established AArete in 2008 with the goal of building a consulting firm that nurtures long-term client partnerships, choosing the firm’s name after a Greek word that embodies excellence, goodness, and virtue. Under his leadership, AArete grew into a global firm with more than 500 team members, earning multiple awards including continued recognition as a Forbes World’s Best Management Consulting Firm, alongside a number of culture-related work recognitions, underscoring the strong culture and people-first approach Trimble built.
Before founding AArete, he was a Managing Director and Strategic Sourcing Practice Lead at Huron Consulting. Prior to Huron, he started the Strategic Sourcing services for Arthur Andersen, developing the methodology and refining the approach through numerous client engagements.
He holds a Masters of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Bachelor of Science from The University of Iowa in accounting and serves as a member on the Boards of the Center for Healthcare Innovation and the Friendship Senior Options Foundation. Trimble is also a long standing member of Rotary International.
