Jim Latchford – Managing Director

Prior to joining AArete in 2009, Jim Latchford spent 16 years as the Chief Operating Officer of White & Case L.L.P., a global law firm with 2,200+ attorneys operating in 30 countries with annual revenues in excess of $1.3 billion. From 2005 through 2008, Jim was simultaneously Chairman of the Executive Committee (Chief Executive Officer) of White & Case’s London Office with 400+ London-based attorneys.

Prior to joining White & Case, Jim was Senior Vice President of Chemical Bank, a predecessor bank to J.P. Morgan Chase, with global responsibilities including financial and management accounting, income tax compliance and planning, and strategic financial planning. He also served on the Chemical Bank’s Management Board. Jim has extensive global operations management experience and is a recognized leader in achieving successful change management in the legal services industry and global banking/capital markets. 

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola University Maryland, a Post-Master of Business Administration Certificate in International Finance from New York University, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Jim was formerly a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board Task Forces.
