Improving Productivity Through Category Metrics

Situation

At a large value retail chain, performance among employees was inconsistent. The organization was not able to measure employee productivity effectively to determine necessary actions for improvement.

Approach

A Category Metrics module measured 229 employees’ productivity across a variety of categories.

Results

Extraordinarily productive employees were rewarded, while training was created for those that fell below the mean. This resulted in 6.8% savings through improved productivity.
